Embedded sensors let "smart" brick monitor building damage.(Testing/Analysis)

A "smart brick" embedded with a thermistor, two-axis accelerometer, multiplexer, transmitter, antenna, and battery have been developed at the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign, Urbana. Built into a wall, the brick could monitor a building's temperature, vibration, and movement.
