High-speed laser cuts aluminum sheet twice as fast.(FORMING/PROCESSING)

A high-speed laser cuts aluminum sheet 0.020 to 0.125 in. thick at a typical speed of 800 in/min, twice as fast as a turret press, reports Cincinnati Inc., Cincinnati, Ohio. The CL-707 laser cutting center also produces edge quality that requires no deburring or postprocessing, and saves on assist gasses by using specially conditioned shop air.
