The Shape Memory and Superelastic Technologies Society (SMST), the new Affiliate Society of ASM, held its 2004 International Convention in Baden Baden, Germany, October 3-7, 2004. Tom Duerig, President of SMST, announced the new affiliation during the Welcoming Reception on Oct. 3. As an affiliate society, SMST will maintain its identity, leadership, and technical focus.
