A new lead-free soldering project entitled Lead Free Manufacturing for Navy Systems has been developed in response to environmental legislation that aims to eliminate lead in electronics manufacturing in the next few years, reports the Electronics Manufacturing Productivity Facility (EMPF), Philadelphia, Pa.
