Deformation resistance welds to build structures on the moon.(WELDING/JOINING)

A research project to study the Delphi Corp. deformation resistance welding (DRW) technology in the construction and repair of stationary objects has been initiated by Delphi Corp., the Michigan Research Institute, and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration. The test results and process capabilities will be supplied to NASA for the purpose of understanding how DRW could be used to weld different types of metal structures on Earth and in space.
