The handling and safety of the Ferrari F430 are said to be improved because of its aluminum spaceframe provided by Alcoa Inc., Pittsburgh, Pa. The F430 is the successor to the Ferrari 360 Modena. To develop the frame, Alcoa engineers used advanced computer-aided engineering methods, process optimization, and high-strength alloys to produce a design that weighs less, yet still meets performance specifications.
