Powder injection molding of a ferrous wheel for an HO gage model railway locomotive was demonstrated at the PM2Tec 2005 Powder Metallurgy conference in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, by Arburg GmbH, Germany. The part showed the efficiency of the Allrounder 170U micro-injection molding machine. The company usually produces these wheels in 17-4 PH (UNS S17400) stainless steel.
