Fiberglass Flagpoles of America Inc. (FFA), Mebane, N.C., is the North American subsidiary of composite-pole specialist Deschamps SA, St. Raphael, France. Although aluminum and steel poles currently dominate the U.S. market, FFA believes that the fiberglass segment "is in its infancy." Fiberglass is said to be the material of choice in Europe.
