Composite solid freeform fabrication (C-SFF) or composite layer manufacturing (CLM) is an automated process in which an advanced composite material is formed into a free-standing, possibly complex, three-dimensional object, according to researchers at the NASA Johnson Space Center, Houston, Texas.
