Wright develops new Co-Cr alloy to resist wear in hips.(MPMD)

A new cobalt-chromium alloy developed for its BFH (big femoral head) hip technology has been announced by Wright Medical Group Inc., Arlington, Tenn. The A-Class Advanced Metal is said to reduce wear in the artificial hips that feature large femoral heads for increased range of motion and a lowered potential for dislocation.
