A biomedical testing instrument designed to measure load and strain on materials in an environment that simulates the human body has been introduced by Instron, Canton, Mass. The BioPuls submersible pneumatic side action grips and temperature-controlled bath with pneumatic lifting and lowering mechanism is designed to be used along with the standard video extensometer (SVE).
BioPuls is configured with Instron's 5500 Series load frame, which includes integrated control electronics and load cells that meet or exceed measurement accuracy requirements of ASTM, EN, BS, ISO, JIS and other testing standards.
