Smith & Nephew announces launch of Oxinium revision knee system.(MPMD)

Smith & Nephew Orthopaedics has announced the launch of the Legion Revision knee system, featuring Smith & Nephew's proprietary Oxinium oxidized zirconium alloy. This system is specifically designed for revision knee procedures, the fastest-growing area of total knee arthroplasty. Legion offers the potential for reduced operating time, as well as the additional durability of Oxinium, which has been shown to reduce polyethylene wear in lab testing.

Legion has been modeled on the highly successful Genesis II knee system (shown on the cover), which has been utilized in more than 500,000 surgeries worldwide.
