The Lotus APX is manufactured predominantly of aluminum in the form of high-pressure die-cast corner nodes, stampings, and extrusions. Advanced assembly techniques include adhesive bonding, self-piercing rivets, and flow-drill screws for construction, joining techniques that Lotus calls Riv-Bonding.
