Since 2004, the ASM Heat Treating Society's R & D Committee has been involved in the ongoing task of revising and updating the Heat Treating Technology Roadmap to reflect changes in perceived priorities of research needs. Its other responsibility has been to document and report progress in technologies that address various initiatives in four major areas.
