The selection of EADS to provide the U.S. Army's next-generation Light Utility Helicopter (LUH) marks the Group's breakthrough on the U.S. defence market, says the European Aeronautic Defence and Space Company, headquartered in the Netherlands. For the first time, its subsidiary EADS North America will act as a prime contractor for the U.S.
