Harry H. Honegger.(In Memoriam)

Harry H. Honegger, professor emeritus, Dept. of Materials Engineering, College of Engineering, California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, passed away May 29, 2006, at the age of 81, in Eugene, Oregon, where he and his wife, Jeannette, lived after he retired from Cal Poly in 1986.
Honegger served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. In 1952, he earned a master's in mechanical engineering from Oregon State College, Corvallis. Honegger joined Cal Poly's Metallurgical Engineering Dept. in 1961. He was a registered professional engineer and a member of the ASM Oregon Chapter. [ILLUSTRATION OMITTED]
