Fiber-reinforced resin/steel sheet make thin strong panel.(METALS POLYMERS CERAMICS)

A structural panel comprised of a novel combination of natural fiber-reinforced resin, sandwiched between ultra-thin galvanized or galvannealed steel skins, is now available from Zyplex Technologies, Hamilton, Ontario. Called Zyplex, the panel has a core of a fiber polymer mix. By engineering the thickness of the core, the thickness of the metal skins, and the fiber-resin ratio, a wide range of properties can be met.
