On behalf of ASM International and its Brandywine Valley (Wilmington, Del.) Chapter, the Phoenix Iron & Steel Works was officially dedicated as an ASM Historical Landmark on Oct. 6, 2006, in Phoenixville, Pa. ASM Trustee Dr. Frederick E. Schmidt, FASM, presided over the ceremony, and the event was attended by more than 60 people, including members of the Brandywine Valley Chapter, a state senator, state assemblywomen, and other dignitaries.
