The Slurry-on-Demand casting process utilizes a patented slurry-making unit that actively stirs and cools molten aluminum until optimum consistency is achieved, says Mercury Marine, Fond du Lac, Wis. The slurry is then transferred directly to the die cast shot end and injected into the die cavity.
