A software simulation tool capable of predicting the deformation of composite parts during manufacturing has reportedly been developed by ESI Group, France. PAM-Quikform is based on geometrical methods and can predict in a matter of seconds whether a selected material is suitable for making a part without potential problems, such as wrinkling.
