RODGERS INSTRUMENTS OF Hillsboro, Oregon, has appointed Richard Cardwell manager of manufacturing, and Allen Cristopher Sandberg has joined the company as field service manager. Cardwell, a longtime Rodgers employee in the Manufacturing Division, succeds Bill Fischer, who left in September to become a consultant with a manufacturing association.
Cardwell joined Rodgers in 1987 and played a key role in the company's ambitious transition to its custom organ building process, Rodgers Organ Architect. He has traveled to Japan to study Roland Corporation's efficient manufacturing techniques and has implemented numerous initiatives to improve Rodgers's manufacturing quality and efficiency.
