CHRIS STATHAM has been named managing director of Mel Bay Music Ltd., a new business venture of Mel Bay Publications of Pacific, Missouri. He will report to William Bay, president of Mel Bay Publications and will head the new Mel Bay Music Ltd. office in London, England. Statham's more than 11 years of experience in the sheet music industry includes work with IMP Ltd./Warner Bros.
Publications, where he worked with the EMI and Warner/Chappell catalog as head of sales and operations. In 2001 he won the Music Industry Association's Best Representative/Supplier Service Award.
