Mention the word "classic" in the context of electric guitars, and Stratocaster and Les Paul are what first come to mind. Slightly less visible on stage, but no less deserving "classic" status is the ever-popular Boss line of effects. Like revered guitar designs, Boss pedals have withstood the test of time--the oldest pedal in the line, the DS-1 distortion box, has been a top-ten seller since 1978.
They are "multi-platinum" many times over, having been used on so many hit records that space precludes even a partial list.
