Seiko enters keyboard market.(25 YEARS AGO)

Seiko, the world's leading manufacturer of electronic watches, unveiled a unique line of portable electronic keyboards at the NAMM show. The new two-keyboard line features a modular sequencer that can be sold separately and can be easily plugged into the keyboard. "After the dealer sells the keyboard, he has the opportunity for an additional sale," said Gabe Ireland of Kaman Music, the U.S.

distributor of the Seiko line. "The modular design also gives the retailer more pricing flexibility."
