Advanced Composite Products & Technology, Inc. (ACPT), a "small business" located in Huntington Beach, California, will design and fabricate an advanced drill pipe made of carbon fiber reinforced epoxy resin. Woven into the composite will be a high-speed data communications capability that will convey drilling information from the bottom of the wellbore to operators on the surface.
