The Phoenix Group International (TPGI) of San Francisco issued multiple research reports this spring on the Recreational Products/Boating Industry. They noted that "The U.S. market for pleasure boats has undergone numerous changes over the last decade. In 1986, 1987 and 1988, sales of pleasure boats skyrocketed by 18.7%, 28.5% and 14.9%, respectively.
