Rohm GmbH of Darmstadt, Germany held a briefing by Hermann Seibert (product manager and head of production) on new Rohacell(R) foam products. Rohm merged in 1999 with Agomayer in the DeGussa-Huls Group. Its main product line is Plexiglas(R) methacrylate sheet to compete with glass glazing. Cyro is its U.S.

Subsidiary and Richmond Aircraft Products is its product distributor for North America, Asia, and the Pacific Rim. The company has about $1 billion in sales. They currently are assessing a new plant outside of Europe. By the end of 2000, they will offer a new product with improved OSU fire numbers for aircraft structures. They said that they expect Boeing and Airbus to test it for possible displacement of Nomex(R) honeycomb core for cabin interior panels....
