Composites Solutions Announces Hospital Job Using FRP Strengthening System.

CSI announced that it has received a contract with Ace Restoration (Ace) of Fullerton, CA to perform the seismic retrofit of the Kern County Medical Center near Bakersfield, CA. CSI will use carbon fiber-reinforced polymer (CFRP) composites retrofitting technology validated for over a decade in the Charles Lee Powell Structural Research Laboratories at the University of California, San Diego.

The retrofitting method that CSI will be using on the Kern County facility is licensed to CSI. CSI and Ace are teaming up to subcontract as part of the $4 million retrofit of the hospital. ...
