The first aerodynamically engineered heavy-duty truck went on the market in the mid-1980s, but they use huge amounts of fuel. The T600A, a product of Kenworth Truck Company, featured a revolutionary, aerodynamic cab that slips through the open-road air like no other big rig, saving up to 22% in fuel costs.
