Pratt & Whitney, E. Hartford, Conn., has been awarded a contract by The Boeing Company to supply 16 of its F117 turbofan engines for four C-17 Globemaster III cargo aircraft being leased to the United Kingdom. The aircraft are scheduled for delivery to the Royal Air Force by September 2001; engine deliveries to Boeing will begin soon.
