There was no "Hypercar" in sight, though Amory Lovins, co-CEO (research) of Rocky Mountain Institute in nearby Snowmass, Colo. and originator of the all-composite, advanced aerodynamic Hypercar concept in 1991, reported that Hypercar Inc., a commercial effort spun off last year from RMI s Hypercar Center, now has an in-house/contract staff of 50 and expects to complete a virtual hypercar design before the end of 2000.
