Violent crime is rocketing in Brazil, and in Sao Paulo, one of the world's most dangerous cities, the security business is big business. Paulistanos, as this city's residents are known, are buying more armored cars, installing more alarms and more closed-circuit cameras at private condominiums, and are hiding behind ever higher walls topped with electric fences.
