LAS Composites Inc., one of the largest minority-owned business in the Inland Empire and the Perris Valley Chamber of Commerce's Business of the Year for 1996, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Riverside on Nov. 28. In the filing, company officials said a bookkeeper allegedly embezzled $300,000 from October 1999 to May of this year.
