Material Sciences Corporation (NYSE: MSC) of Elk Grove Village, Illinois reported lower sales and a third quarter net loss for the three months ended November 30, 2000. Net sales in the third quarter were $120.1 million compared with $125.4 million last year. Excluding Pinole Point Steel, net sales in the third quarter were $82.2 million versus $83.0 million last year.
