AEROSPACE TO REMAIN STRONG GROWTH MARKET SAYS ALCOA.

The aerospace business will be a very strong growth market for U.S.-based aluminium producer Alcoa Inc. in coming years, according to L. Patrick Hassey, VP. "The aerospace portion of the transportation sector is the most technologically advanced and profitable for the corporation," Hassey, who is also group president - Alcoa industrial components, told journalists at a media briefing.
Alcoa and its subsidiaries are competing with France's Pechiney to provide materials for a number of A380 applications, said John Harrington, Alcoa's manager for aerospace marketing.
