Solectria Corporation of Wilmington, Massachusetts is changing its strategic direction toward the research, development, and production of components for use in hybrid and electric vehicles and for the distributed generation of electric power. Known primarily to date for its production of electric cars and trucks, this change reflects a long-awaited and welcome maturing of the alternative fuel vehicle market.
