Cytec Industries Inc. (NYSE:CYT) in West Paterson, N.J. announced net earnings for the second quarter of 2001 of $25.9 million or $0.62 per diluted share on sales of $354 million. For the second quarter of 2000 net earnings were higher at $34.8 million or $0.81 cents per diluted share on sales of $389 million.
