Adherent Technologies is announcing a new technology for removing air pollution that was patented last year and they now are starting to manufacture. This is a ceramic support with catalyst similar to a catalytic converter for your car. When placed in an fireplace or woodstove, it removes all the particulate, organic compounds, and CO from the smoke.
That has been their first target market. However, when combined with a heat source, it will remove any VOC stream such as styrene from polyester fabrication operations, so it should be useful in meeting new EPA rules ...
