In its ongoing drive to demonstrate that steel can meet automakers' requirements for safe, affordable and environmentally friendly vehicle fuel tanks and to compete with plastic tanks, the Strategic Alliance for Steel Fuel Tanks (SASFT) announced that it has initiated a major corrosion study to prove the long-term durability of several steel fuel tank systems.
