April 9, 2003 - GE Wind Energy announced that it has supplied ten 1.5-MW wind turbines for the recently completed Hibikinada Wind Farm located on the coast of Hibikinada, Japan. The project is one of Japan's largest wind farms. The 35 million kWh expected to be generated annually by the Hibikinada project will provide enough clean, renewable energy to serve 10,000 average Japanese homes.
