Two-Turbine Project Announced For California, Several Projects in Asia by GE Wind Energy.

October 18, 2003 - In September, GE Wind Energy announced that it would supply two 1.5-MW wind turbines to Coram Energy, LLC, for a wind farm in Tehachapi, Calif. The Coram energy project, with a rated capacity of 3 MW, is expected to generate over nine million kWh of electricity per year, which is enough power to supply the annual needs of about 1,000 average U.S.
households. Southern California Edison has agreed to purchase the power output. Construction will begin this month, with completion expected by the end of the year. Asia In the past month, GE Wind Energy has announced turbine sales in China and Japan, to supply a growing interest in renewable energy.
