Teal Group Predicts Some 2,973 Jet Combat Aircraft Worth $142.4 Billion Will be Built in 2004-2013.

February, 24, 2004 - A total of 2,973 combat aircraft valued at $142.4 billion (in 2004 U.S. dollars) will be built worldwide in the 2004-2013 period, was predicted Teal Group in its latest world fighter/attack production forecast released today during Asian Aerospace 2004 in Singapore. The new Teal forecast covers all combat aircraft over 20,000 lbs maximum take-off weight (all supersonic planes plus the AV-8B Harrier.) The market is now making a great recovery since 2002, its lowest point since the jet age began, when only 159 planes worth $6.7 billion were delivered.
