March 9, 2004 - Emcore Corporation of Somerset, N.J., was selected by Boeing Company to provide advanced triple-junction (ATJ) high-efficiency solar cells and panels for the latest model 702 satellite which Boeing is manufacturing. The contract includes an option for a follow-on satellite as well.
