Aluminum Risers Vie for Similar Offshore Opportunity to CFRP Composites Drill Riser.

March 15, 2004 - Offshore oil drilling risers of CFRP composites don't have the perceived market opportunity all to themselves. Noble Corporation subsidiary Maurer Technology, a partner in the effort noted below, also is helping to develop lightweight aluminum risers for deepwater offshore drilling applications.
