Lockheed Martin Awards Virtek $2.25 Million Plus Contract for Laser Projection on F-35 JSF Parts.

March 15, 2004 - Virtek Vision International Inc. in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada, was awarded a contract of more than Cdn$3.0 Million (US$2.25 Million) by Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Co. of Fort Worth, Texas to supply advanced LaserEdge(r) laser projection systems. Virtek is a leading developer of precision laser-based technologies including projection systems for CFRP composite structure manufacturing.
This new contract expands Lockheed Martin's use of Virtek laser projection systems to include appliqu gore and graph/epoxy prepreg ply installation on structural parts for the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) program.
