April 14, 2004 - Hunt Aviation Corp. of Pass Christian, Miss., is conducting tests on what it describes as a "high-efficiency vertical axis wind turbine prototype." The technology emanates from company engineering studies indicating the potential to produce more than twice as much electrical and pneumatic power within the same area as a conventional horizontal axis wind turbine.
