General Aviation Billings, Shipments Increase.

April 30, 2004 - Billings and shipments of general aviation planes rose in the first quarter of 2004 compared to the same period last year, according to the Washington-based General Aviation Manufacturers Association (GAMA). Billings were up 21.1 percent while shipments increased 9.7 percent.

Significantly, the industry posted gains in the piston-engine, turboprop and business jet segments. "The recovery that began last year in the piston market is not only continuing but spreading to the other model segments," said Ed Bolen, GAMA president and chief executive officer. ...
