May 6, 2004 - A firm that compounds sheet molding composites (SMC) and molds fiberglass reinforced plastics reported higher profit for the first quarter ended March 31. Core Molding Technologies Inc. of Columbus, Ohio, said profit for the quarter was $545,000 versus $515,000 in the first quarter of 2003.
Total sales for the first quarter of 2004 were $24.2 million compared with $29.5 million in last year's comparable quarter. Sales of products increased 26 percent to $24.1 million from $19.1 million for the similar period in 2003. Tooling sales for the quarter was $134,000 ...
