U.S. Department of Energy Develop Flexible Carbon Fiber Composite Drill Pipe.

Advanced Materials & Composites News, May, 2004

May 21, 2004 - The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) has developed a new carbon-fiber reinforced polymer composite drill pipe that is lighter, stronger and more flexible than steel, for use in the oil industry.
