Cobalt Global Technologies Develops Advanced Technology for Hydrogen Fuel Cell Tanks.

July 1, 2004 - Cobalt Global Technologies, LLC, (Cobalt) announced the development of patented, advanced technology for high-pressure, hydrogen fuel cell tanks. The new patent is for an innovative method to reinforce the neck and valve region of 70 MPa (10,000 psi) hydrogen storage cylinders.
The new invention allows the storage of hydrogen gas at extremely high pressures with substantially reduced thickness, weight, and cost. Cobalt's president, Shaun Hogan, developed the new technology in both Japan and the United States, working together with Teppei Sakaguchi of Samtech Corporation of Osaka, Japan, and Yoshiki Sakaguchi of Samtech International Inc., of Carson, California, USA.
